Robotics equipment for primary and support schools

The Oberberg District Education Office would like to awaken children's interest in the subject of robotics and promote it early and sustainably.

Project description

LEGO® Robotik for children in primary and support schools in the district Oberbergischer Kreis

The project Lego® Robotik of the Education Office of the district Oberbergischer Kreis is intended to arouse children's interest in the topic of robotics at an early stage and in a sustainable manner.

The project focuses on the key qualifications for the 21st century in a professional world that is becoming increasingly digitalized. Children in primary and support schools are introduced to digitization at an early stage in a cautious and playful manner. They discover the programming and can freely explore other possible uses of the robots. In particular, critical thinking and creativity are supported, as well as teamwork and self-confidence through independent problem solving.

The Hans Hermann Voss Foundation supports the use of LEGO® Robotik in primary and support schools of the district Oberbergischer Kreis. These schools can apply for the equipment at the office of the zdi-center investMINT Oberberg. For teachers at the selected schools, participation in a basic workshop is included in the program.
