Creation of feel-good spaces

New lounges have been created in the HANS HERMANN VOSS-HAUS for residents with dementia and their relatives.

Project description

Creation of feel-good spaces inside and outside the HANS HERMANN VOSS-HAUS

In the HANS HERMANN VOSS-HAUS, a home for people with dementia run by the Eugen-Wolfrich-Kersting-Stiftung in Wipperfürth, with the support Hans Hermann Voss Foundation, feel-good spaces have been created for residents, relatives, and staff. The aim is to promote meetings between these groups and to decisively improve recreational opportunities for the home’s residents. Various seating areas and retreats have been created in the garden, on the terrace and in the inner courtyard. Rooms in the interior of the house, as the former bowling alley and the chapel have also been redesigned, inviting the residents to linger, and allowing the staff to use them with the residents in a variety of ways: as a repair shop, hairdressing salon with waiting area, coffee bar or music café, as well as for small group training sessions and movie nights.
